The rubber is laminated between the two Convex rollers which turns it into a thin layer measuring between 6 to 9 mm.

At Soucy Techno, our sustained growth drives us to innovate and optimize our processes in order to meet the increasingly stringent demands of the rubber compound industry. The new mixing line we are currently deploying represents a strategic step forward that will enable us to increase the volume of compound rubber we produce by about 50%.

The new equipment – which includes a mixer and a Convex system – will improve the quality and consistency of our rubber compounds. It will also allow us to offer a high-performance product while augmenting our production capacities. As a result, we’ll be able to meet the high demand for our Soucyprene, a polymer designed by our chemists for use in certain track systems and highly valued in the mining sector.

The new mixing line will reaffirm Soucy Techno’s position as a leader in the industry by providing it with the means to handle higher volumes and accelerate turnaround times. The new line will also stand out by its high degree of automation, specifically in terms of ingredient incorporation.

Moreover, our advanced raw materials management system will precisely measure every component, thereby reducing the risk of errors and guaranteeing optimal consistency. This process will have a significant impact in terms of efficiency, uniformity, and the safety of our teams.

Some of the key components, such as the automated raw material feed and extraction systems, are yet to be delivered. However, the mixer and the Convex system are currently being installed. Once everything is in place, our teams will be able to proceed with the final assembly and begin the stringent testing and optimization phase. The official production launch is scheduled for the end of June 2026.

This new mixing line – the third one in our plant – is much more than a simple expansion of our production capacities. It represents a strategic shift and a major technological advancement at Soucy Techno.
