The project required the development of double reinforcements integrated into tracks for military vehicles operating in extreme environments. These reinforcements had to meet stringent requirements in terms of durability, vibration resistance and performance on a variety of terrains, such as mud, snow or rocky surfaces.

In this context, the Soucy Defense unit, responsible for delivering a turnkey product to its military customer, naturally turned to Soucy Baron. Our objective was to design double reinforcements for Soucy Defense that would integrate harmoniously into the overall production process and meet the highest quality standards expected in the defense sector.

There were several challenges combined: developing a new product, designing a custom mould, and the transition to a more complex and precise injection process than the compression moulding previously used. These steps were essential to ensure perfect part uniformity and optimal mechanical performance, meeting the stringent requirements of the final military customer.

To meet Soucy Defense's specific requirements, Soucy Baron mobilized its technical expertise to produce double reinforcements for integration into or assembly onto tracks designed for military vehicles operating in extreme environments.

Based on technical drawings supplied by Soucy Defense, our teams designed custom moulding tools to launch the project. The surface of the metal inserts was precisely prepared by sanding and gluing, to ensure optimum adhesion between the metal and the rubber. This step guaranteed the robustness and reliability of the double reinforcements, fully meeting the operational requirements of the final product.

By adopting an injection moulding process, Soucy Baron produced parts providing perfect uniformity and superior mechanical performance. Vulcanization parameters were meticulously adjusted to meet Soucy Defense's specific needs, ensuring that the reinforcements help reduce vibration, improve vehicle mobility and minimize maintenance.

Each stage of the project was rigorously controlled to ensure that the parts delivered met the stringent requirements of the defense sector, while meeting Soucy Defense's performance and reliability expectations.
