The goal of this massive project that began in 2022 was to solidify Soucy’s presence in this area of the city and to meet the company’s needs in terms of growth. The new building will also provide Kimpex with additional warehouse space for finished powersports products and will serve as a central hub for employees.

“This new building will allow Kimpex to consolidate its distribution activities in eastern Canada while continuing to provide the best services possible to our business partners and to all powersports enthusiasts,” said Frédéric Lagacé, General Manager at Kimpex.

Kimpex is a Canadian leader in the distribution of powersports parts and accessories. The company has more than 86,000 products and can count on a network of over 3,500 retailers across Canada, the United States, and Europe. In business for more than 55 years, Kimpex has become the country’s leading distributor of products  and accessories from the powersports industry’s biggest names.

The past few years have seen a rising global demand for Soucy International’s products and the company’s plants are all running at full capacity. Once the new Kimpex building is fully operational, the Soucy Rubber Tracks subsidiary will use the old building for its own expansion projects.

The story behind Kimpex’s buildings has mirrored the company’s exponential growth. Expanding its facilities has enabled teams to turn dreams into reality in a space where being passionate about work is a driving force.

In 1973, Mr. Soucy built a 7,500 sq. ft. warehouse on Saint-Roch Street in Drummondville to support the company’s distribution activities. Some of the company’s offices are still located there. The building has expanded twice over the decades and in 2008, the company inaugurated a new 70,000 sq. ft. warehouse equipped with a state-of-the-art supply management and forecasting system.

The construction of Kimpex’s new building is a significant milestone in the company’s history and is a testament to its constant growth and bold vision for the future. It is a project that will have a positive impact on the entire Soucy organization!
